dunkin’ donuts
dunkin’ donuts truly started the idea of influencer marketing when tiktok star charli d’amelio shared her love of the coffee and donut shop. they used this opportunity to create a partnership with the star where she would post herself on tiktok ordering her curated drink, “the charli.” they would then trend a hashtag called #charlixdunkincontest where if you posted a photo with the drink, you could win a chance to hang out with charli d’amelio. “the charli” led to a 57% increase in app downloads on launch day and 45% increase in cold brew sales the next day.
chipotle
chipotle is one of everyone’s favorite fast-food restaurants, and they have had campaigns with a wide range of celebs, from shawn mendes to david dobrik, where they could create their own bowl and chipotle fans could eat like the star. additionally, they even created an ambassador program with 15 influencers to continue to promote the brand. recently, they celebrated pride month with a campaign with three famous drag queens, trixie mattel, gottmik, and kimchi, where their orders were featured, and with each purchase, chipotle would donate $1 to LGBTQ+ charities.
levi’s
levi’s is one of my favorite brands of all time. from their message and goal to their comfy everyday jeans, i think levi’s exceeds expectations in all areas. so, naturally, their influencer marketing is perfection. their “buy better, wear longer” aims to raise awareness of their own sustainability efforts and the fashion industry’s overconsumption, urging buyers to source second-hand. they teamed up with social media superstar emma chamberlain and singer jaden smith to advocate for the brand and raise concern over the fast-fashion world. the genuine personality of these two influencers also made this campaign very successful, with the combination of a great message and a huge social media following.
moncler
moncler is a high-end brand best known for its ski wear. it is rather expensive and was not very well known in the gen z ages. they created a campaign to reach this audience called the #monclerbubbleup challenge, with the help of influencers like bella poarch and charli d’amelio. the challenge videos involved moncler’s signature bubble coat look and encouraged users to recreate the look with items at home. the hashtag had over seven billion views and successfully gained the attention of many gen z users.
